Beijing,Shanghai,the Changjiang River,the Huanghe River,and the Great Wall
The two largest cities of China are Beijing（北京） and Shanghai（上海）.Beijing is the capital of People’s Republic of China as well as its political,diplomatic and cultural center.Beijing was the capital for Liao,Ming and Qing dynasties and it is rich in historic sites,including the Great Wall,the Forbidden City(the Imperial Palace)（故宫，Gùgōng）,the Summer Palace（颐和园，Yíhé Yuán）,and the Temple of Heaven（天坛，Tiān Tán）,etc.With the economic development,Beijing has become one of the cosnopolitan cities in the world.Shanghai is China’s biggest city as well as its largest industrial and economic center.
There are many rivers in China,the largest ones of which are the Changjiang River（长江，Cháng Jiāng）and the Huanghe River（黄河，Huáng Hé）.Changjiang,literally,the “Long River”,is commonly known as the Yangtze River in English.It stretches more than 6,000 kilometers.Huanghe,or literally the “Yellow River”,is the second longest river in China,flowing a total of more than 5,000 kilometers.The Huanghe River Valley is considered as the cradle of Chinese civilization.
The Great Wall（长城，Cháng chéng）is one of the most well-known anthropological spectacles in China.Construction of the Great Wall began more than 2,200 years ago.It is one of the architectural wonders of the ancient world.There are numerous stretches where several walls run parallel to each other.It is more than 6,000 kilometers or more than 12,000 li long,so the Great Wall is often referred to as the WanLiChangCheng or the “Long Wall of Ten Thousand Li”.

长 城 的 长 度 超 过 6000 公 里 （ 12000 里 ） ，
suó yǐ chánɡ chénɡ jīnɡ chánɡ bèi chēnɡ wéi wàn lǐ chánɡ chénɡ 。
所 以 长 城 经 常 被 称 为 万 里 长 城 。
