August 1 is the Army Building Day of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. It originated from the Nanchang Uprising led by the Communist Party of China during the period of China's Domestic Democratic revolution. On August 1, 1927, the Nanchang Uprising fired the first shot of the Chinese Communist Party against the reactionaries of the Kuomintang. It marked the beginning of a new era of armed revolution under the independent leadership of the Chinese Communist Party and the birth of a new type of Chinese people's army.

Since the founding of the PLA, it has gone through many difficulties and dangers, from small to large, from weak to strong, and developed into a multi-arms composite army. It is advancing bravely on the road of elite soldiers with Chinese characteristics, and has become the steel Great Wall of China for safeguarding peace and development.
