Chinese Winter Camp
Our Chinese Winter Camps in Shanghai are designed for dedicated, hard-working students who want to see a dramatic improvement in their Chinese language ability. From morning to night, we’ve crafted a comprehensive Chinese environment that fosters continuous learning through both hard work and fun.
In our intensive classes, students learn in small groups arranged by age and language level (individual classes are also available), to ensure that they get the most out of each lesson and progress as rapidly and smoothly as possible.
A wide range of activities and cultural events challenge students to use what they’ve learned in class, speaking Chinese with classmates on our campus as well as with the people they meet outside in teacher-led excursions. They’ll develop the skills and the confidence to use Chinese the same way that native speakers do, and build a solid language foundation that will serve them for years to come.
We organize a varied range of traditional cultural activities where students learn the skills, history and language involved for each workshop, which offers a solid cultural foundation and understanding that supports their language development. In addition our excursions offer the opportunity for campers to explore the city and its sites, whilst reviewing and revising the language covered in class, they do this through a range of tasks set by their teachers, such as:buying an ice-cream or seeing who can barter the best price at a market.
These types of challenges provide an opportunity to take what they've learnt in the classroom and applying it to real life, helping with confidence and fluency! See the table below for an overview of what is included for each camp type.
